I live in the U.S. and I seems all hope for Champloo coming on Adult Swim for the next few years is gone.
Could someone recomend a site where I could learn about this series I've heard so much about or tell me about it themselves. I would greatly appreciatte it. Thanks. |

Based on the fact that in the poll, Champloo was a distant third last time I checked with Gungrave at no. 1 the entire time. It seems due to fans reactions, It's a safe bet that Adult Swim would air Gungrave before they even consider Champloo for air time. I've been looking foward to seeing Samurai Champloo for a very long time but I live in America so I dont have access to it on TV or DVD and I dont use filesharing services because they all put Spyware on my computer. Is it hopeless or does it mean nothing that Gungrave outrated Champloo? |

After looking at the site I see up to eps 26 those that mean there are going to be only 26 eps?

I don't think Champloo has hope of being on AS. Mainly because they have to take care of much more important things. Plus, it would only be edited like all of the other anime they put on that network. I like the anime and all, but I am just saying that Champloo won't make it no matter what they do. I don't know any sites, but I'm sure animenation has a couple of links (hopefully)

They said the poll was just for fun and in no way would be used to decide they're future broadcasts. SC was licensed by Geneon long before it was even shown in Japan, it has a lot of potential and people are expecting a lot from it. It will be shown on TV, it's just a matter of when and where. Emerje said it before I could. Besides, Champloo's got serious ties to Cowboy Bebop, one of the most popular anime in Cartoon Network history. They've already used Wolf's Rain's ties with the Bebop production team to promote that show, so a series by the same director is almost a lock.
Honestly, I'd say Champloo has a better chance than Gungrave. Bebop still eclipses Trigun to my knowledge, so Cartoon Network'd likely cater to that larger audience first. |

And besides, how do you go wrong with a samurai anime heavily steeped in urban culture? I never knew Adidas made clothing in feudal Japan.

Easiest thing I can do is send you over to my roommate's extensive episode guide: http://www.spookhouse.net/angelynx/comics/amalgam.html (and I wouldn't give up on SC making it on to AS just yet...) |

Actually, I was thinking more about ep. 1. If I remember right, the feudal lord's son and his little cronies were all wearing garments with three stripes down the side, which is a trademark of Adidas. But mostly, I was just exaggerating. |

Just buy it when the DVD's out in 2005. I know I will along with the box.
