As the title says.
Some of my views are influenced by the latest anime crafted around these archetypes.
I won't bother with the male counterpart at this time, but feel free to do so, as the thread isn't just about females.
In cases where the anime heavily relies on a the same country's setting, the characters are often normal.
English - Snobs. They're generally portrayed as a high class snob, often from a rich family, and for the most part blond. Frequently a mix of kuudere, tsundere, and ojou-sama.
This type can be pretty good at times (School Rumble's Erin), and very annoying at others (Kaze no Stigma's Katherine).
And in a relatively few cases we'll come across a female character like Saber from Fate/stay night.
Bonus: Hellsing.
American - Middle class snobs. About the same as the above, but with less manners. Just like the English, they tend to be elitists, but often without realizing it (unlike the above). Easier to deal with, since they don't have to fall in love to grasp reality.
German - Tough. Often strong, smart, skillful, and loyal. A lot in common with watchdogs. Often too sweet towards one person, and too focused on hating another. A prime example that comes to mind is NGE's Azuka. A mix of kuudere (since they end up melting), tsundere, added to a lower level of psychosis.
Bonus: Monster.
French - White outside, red inside; in other words, well behaved on the surfaced, but follow flesh desires deep inside. They often manage to seduce the audience, but rarely the protagonist.
Bonus: Le Chevalier d'Eon.
Chinese - Brats. Often young and childish, and sometimes given weird accents.
Male Chinese characters on the other hand, are often portrayed as very smart and skilled fighters. Think DTB and Code Geass.
Japanese - Normal.
You can use this thread for the lols, too. Kakko warai. For example, I based some parts on single characters and had a good laugh out of it, yet I just can't say it's incorrect.
Anyway, precision isn't the thread's aim.
Enjoy!

Why do you think England was able to hold on to it's global empire for so long? They were looking for some decent chow! Germany, Italy, and Japan were able to carve out small chunks for themselves, but couldn't hold on to them for more than a single generation; they already had good food at home, so they just didn't have the motivation England did.
There you have it folks; the rise and fall of empires over the last few centuries, from a culinary perspective. I'm going to call the History Chanel and see what they think about doing a three part special.

Similar to Jews. They would argue a lot, and maybe party a lot; but they would definitely be very loud and opinionated.

There are plenty of Greek characters in Saint Seiya. Although the most recent version (Lost Canvas) is led by Italians.

We're talking about a culture that worships its squid fondling elementary school girls, making an anime of it, and selling figures of the girls wearing striped pantsu as being normal?

IIRC, the culture of which you speak is a subculture in Japan, and one that isn't regarded as normal by most Japanese.

Well, they're usually the normal ones in an anime often full of foreigners. Either way, god bless the Japanese for selling us figures of girls wearing striped pantsu. Curse them as well, for making it so complicated to purchase from their retailers.

Toad in the hole and roast beef with yorkshire pudding are by far more popular on places I frequent. When you talk about national food you should first observe what they serve at pubs.

I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at this. Roger Smith, er, sorry, not Roger Smith, anime is itself a subculture, hence the (joke) remark.

I am told that the latter had its place within our cuisine established primarily by restaurateurs of Bangladeshi heritage.
It is only appropriate, therefore, to suppose that the menus of many 'Indian' eateries around our country reflect the culinary traditions of Bangladesh to a greater degree than those of India.
Curry. So ambrosial it is, one deems it suited for constituting the subject matter of one's 3000th post.
