i dont know if someone already made a thread about this (only looked at the first page). anyway, on those black and white cards on AS, it said:

Hmm, but VPM is 25 eps, not 26.

Maybe it was Van as in Vandread?

I'm not sure how you can get anything out of that quote. I would LOVE to see Stand Alone Complex on AS but, until I see it on the schedule, I can't allow myself to get too excited about it.

i think i'll wait for verification on this...

i don't recall seeing it either (although i don't normally pay attention to those bits anyway) and no one on any of the major anime forums is talking about it.

that's not to say it's false, but i'd rather "wait and see", or get confirmation from CN first.

That would indeed be very cool to see GIST: SAC TV on CN. I've seen up to 18 fansubbed and it is an amazing show.
As for the Vandread vs. Miyu... I love both series and both deserve the extra attention the CN would bring. Although I see Vandread being picked first over Miyu simple because it has comedy elements.

I've recieved verbal confirmation from more than one extremely reliable source that GITS will not be appearing on CN. That doesn't mean it won't happen, but I won't believe anything until I hear it straight from CN's mouth.

While it does seem like very good speculation, I think I'll wait for Comic-Con and see what the people at the Adult Swim panel might have to say.

Don't Watch gits fansubbed. Production IG is selling the R2 with an English sub. In fact, watching fansubbed with this series is definitely piracy. It was said long ago that it was coming. IG even asked for people to stop fansubbing.
Note: I generally do watch and believe in subs, but this is one you should buy the r2 instead.
On CN: in the encyclopedia links to news, there is an older one saying CN wants it, but so far doesn't have it. That was 8 months or so ago.

thats becuase anime fans dont watch adult swim on sundays.

anyway, heres the thread on toonzone, and i can pretty much guarantee that the card im talking about showed up.

I really don't wan't to pay $50 or so for import dvd that only has 3-4 eps on it. I enjoy the series and I intend to keep watching it fansubbed. Just for the record, I will by the R1s when they become available because this is one of those shows that is truly worth it. While I do not support those groups that rip R1 dvds and put it on BitTorrent (if you don't believe me, check out [EDIT - No BT URLs, people... -C]) I have no problems with a group releasing a show that is not availble yet otherwise, liscensed or not.

Why would someone buy an R2 version if they couldn't watch it on their DVD player? Would it be better to buy a bootleg rather than watch a fansub with the intent on buying the series when it comes out on R1?

Seeing Vampire Princess Miyu again would be awesome. I only saw the first 3 episodes, but they were great. I hope they show the opening theme song, it's so good.
