Well obviously, every studio's goal from producing anime is making money, and KyoAni isn't any different.

Anyways this news made my day, K-ON is my very favorite anime and I'm very excited that the same team and director is producing a new original anime. Also the character design is very cute as usual, which always increases the appeal.

Instant buy for me.

This is a Winter anime...? either this is a 5 minute anime or they kept a big project like this from being leaked for a long time somehow.

I don't think this will be a short; it seems more convenient for this to take place Chuunibyou's timeslot once that is done. But hey, KyoAni has an original IP. I expect this to have the same amount of heart they always put in all their other series.

With the recent reports out that Hirano is done with anime voice acting, probably never.

Yeah, because she totally didn't just play a character in Girls und Panzer or anything.

I think it's more important to mention she does Lucy's voice in Fairy Tale, which is an ongoing, weekly series.

Nah, that's she's getting any kind of "new" roles, thus new contracts/paychecks/etc is more important that something they've be working on consistently/continuously for years.
