I wish anime streaming sites would start using HMTL5 already. Works flawlessly on youtube compared to all the issues people have with flash

Am I missing something? It's still the coming soon web page for me.

I got on the site and even registered.

I would be really excited about this if they would give us some of those shows that have never been previously licensed over here like Turn-A-Gundam /Gundam ZZ. That being said, I will definitely support, just like I do with all legal anime streaming sites.

I'm glad that they are aiming to work alongside Crunchy and co. rather than compete and take licenses away from them; but regardless, other streaming sites will still take a hit. Why pay for Crunchy and Funi when you can get vids from both on Daisuki? I will be interested to see what happens regardless.

They finally launched. I was wondering if Daisuki's plan to launch this Spring has been scrapped. I like this concept, but let us see how the service works. If Daisuki wants me to make their service my home for streaming, they need to offer a great service comparable to Crunchyroll.

Well, the video quality so far is awful. It's like horrible low bitrate 360p.

Edit: It cleared up somewhat, but are quality dropouts a common thing with streaming?

So... is anyone having trouble signing up? I've tried with both my emails, but the confirmation message doesn't seem to arrive. Maybe I'm too used to those things popping up within seconds of signing up to virtually anything?

Nevermind, they just tweeted about it, it seems like a general issue that they're working to fix

At least I'm glad they are indeed open to different regions, though lo and behold, the one series I'm interested in -Lupin III- is apparently unavailable in my region (or maybe for registered users only?)

We'll see where this goes, but I suppose at least it's a good start, especially for those of us cursed with region block by, well, every other anime streaming website out there.

On their voting page(ANN survey) I included 80s classics like Armored Trooper VOTOMS, Aura Battler Dunbine and City Hunter.

I would love to see those Sunrise shows on Crunchyroll too.

See, this is the very thing I thought they were selling that would set them apart.... that they would be streaming stuff to the whole world. There will still be lots of piracy until that happens. tch.

I voted for some things that don't have complete subs, like Layzner and Ai Shite Night. Those would be better suited to Anime Sols than what's supposed to be a popular streaming site.

Video doesn't seem to be all that high-res, and there's no quality selector. Won't really be much competition for Crunchyroll in CR's regions if they don't have HD video, but might still be useful for regions CR doesn't serve for particular shows, or for exclusives.

The player supports turning subtitles on/off, but currently the only non-hardsubbed anime on the site is Prince of Tennis. Confused me at first.
