I still can't get over the fact that Anno is voicing the protagonist, and the fact that none of the teasers so far show his character speaking doesn't fill me with confidence, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
Frankly, I'm not a fan of Ghibli's current approach to casting voice actors, going for live action stars instead of seiyuu because they supposedly sound more natural. Flat is more like it.

Not to mention there's definitely the "idol" factor in there. If the actors are popular, put them in! Like the actress who plays the heroine. -_-; And is an idol/former idol/who knows.
I saw the trailer at the movies with both the hero and heroine in it. The voices were abysmal.
