For me, I'm looking forward to these this Winter:

Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-: "...a world where humanity has lost control of the seas." More warship girls a la Arpeggio? Ofc I'm gonna watch it!
Tsukimonogatari: Bake-, Kizu-, Nise-, Neko-, Mono2-, Hana-, Tsuki- ~ I love this whole fast-talking, innuendo/tongue-in-cheek filled, ararararararagi-kun-no-matsuri-monogatari.
Absolute Duo: So has the world finally decided whether the accepted term is Kuudere or Dandere? Either way, I love the Sugar & Ice Personality-types. Long live Nagato Yuki-chan!
Yuri Kuma Arashi: this one is pretty obvious, right? Yuri Bear Storm, with an otaku-bait title (otaku-bait titles are series titles that use eye-catching words no otaku can resist) like that, who's NOT gonna check out at least the 1st couple of episodes?
Q Transformers: Kaettekita Convoy no Nazo: I usually skip all but one or two of the short-form anime that come out every season; in Fall, it was Danna ga Nani & Bonjour Reverse Harem - Winter: the new Transformers story.
The Testament of Sister New Devil: my hopes are not super high for this title, but I follow the 3 episode rule, so hopefully this supernatural harem fest, originally a light novel series by the same author who penned Aesthetics of a Rogue Hero, will get me hooked.
Koufuku Graffiti: OMG it looks so cuuuuuute! And I always, always, always must see all the cooking/food anime that come out!
Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend: Otaku-bait title #2: yes, I fully admit I'm only interested in this one bcuz it has an intriguing title.
Tokyo Ghoul √A: hmmmm, this is a given for most people who watched season 1, no?
Assassination Classroom: Otaku-bait title #3; but even more tempting are the first 2 lines of the synopsis: "One day, the moon exploded, leaving it in a perpetual crescent-moon shape. The creature who claims responsibility for the destruction also claims it will destroy the world in March of next year." *double-take* hanh?
Death Parade: I watched Death Billiards, so now I want to see what they make it.
Drrr!x2: I can only hope this lives up to its 1st season. Is it too much to ask for another Baccano?
Rolling Girls: so, I love original TV anime (recent examples include Psycho-Pass & WIXOSS) bcuz no one is complaining about the story not following the manga & how it's totes ruined now (people really need to get over that) - so I'm a bit disappointed to have read that the manga for Rolling Girls started in October. But not enough to dissuade me from watching.
Aldnoah.Zero TV2: ok, class, repeat after me: CLIFF HANGERS SUCK.
Shōnen Hollywood - Holly Stage for 50: don't ask, I have NO idea why I like watching the pretty boys cavort about.
Kuroko's Basketball TV3: yes, I am of the opinion that you're deffo cray-cray if you're NOT waiting for this to start, FINALLY.
Maria the Virgin Witch: Otaku-bait title #4 for the Winter season.
Yoru no Yatterman: Viva la Revolution!! Stand & fight for more drama!
Isuca: Hayate with a supernatural, onmyoujo twist? Sign me up!
Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Exodus: Have you SEEN the trailer for this? Even if they turn the great story the Fafner series has going into an idolfestxpokemon battle fest, I want to watch the gorgeous animation XEBEC has created for our eyes to behold.

ANN's Upcoming Anime List

Continued viewing: Yowamushi s2, Shirobako, World Trigger, Sanzoku no Musume Ronja, Cross Ange (the sleeper hit of the Fall season), Parasyte, Log Horizon s2, Magic Kaito 1412, Akatsuki no Yona, Garo: Honoo no Kokuin, Gundam Build Fighters Try, Gundam G no Reconguista, Nanatsu no Taizai, Sailor Moon Crystal &...Bonjour Koiaji Patisserie (reverse harems always get me, what can I say?)

Hmph. Just realized: if I drop nothing, I'm going to be watching 40+ weekly titles again this season. Fall was almost too much to keep up with, I was pushing 50 titles at the start of it. AHHHH, LIFE IS GOOD.

Yeah, for some reason it feels like there aren't that many new shows coming out. Definitely excited for more Fafner and Dog Days.

Other than the Fafner sequel nothing seems appealing to me. Here's hoping to more fafners and festum! Also there needs to be a chart. I never bothered getting around to watching Tokyo Ghoul or Aldonanonanohoweveryoupronounceit Zero because.... I don't know. Confused

WTF is that chart!

I took /a/'s joke chart and rewrote the various boxes to make them more mecha/manly centric while adding the epic win that is the legendary Go Nagai. Cool

I could be wrong, but isn't the second episode of those Gargantia OVAs supposed to be released this winter?

There aren't as many new animes coming and lots of series are continuing from Fall season, so there's not as much stuff as usual, and yet I still have 10 series on my radar to at least check up for Winter

Definitely watching

All the sequels of series I already liked: Durarara 2, KuroBas 3, Jojo and Tokyo Ghoul. Even if any of them turn out unwatchable I'm still planning to follow until the end. They can't possibly be any worse than Psycho-Pass 2.

I'm also watching the one with the magical boys (Binan Koukou long name) because it sounds so utterly ridiculous it's gotta be fun.

High interest:

Sengoku Musou- Only on the basis of my love for Sengoku anime. I'm prepared for even the most terrible of trainwrecks (I did sit through Sengoku Otome and Brave 10 AND ENJOYED THEM), I have an undeterred passion for this kind of series.

Yuri Kuma Arashi - Tbh, I'm not really attracted by the character designs or the premise, but since it's Ikuhara I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. The promise of an emotional payoff half as powerful as Penguindrum is enough for me to sit through the whole thing unless it has some insane amount of tacky fanservice

Assassination Classroom - This is WSJ next big thing, and for that alone I have great interest in it. It's not being done by Toei, so I hope it doesn't suffer the "unwatchable adaptation disease" that's sinking World Trigger

Check out

Death Parade - I watched the original Death Billiards OVA and it was interesting, although it was a little confusing at the end. I think it has potential as a series of stand alone stories.

Rolling Girls - It sounds kind of crazy with the potential to be fun and interesting. I also really like the Key Visual.

May give them a chance

Saenai Heroine - It's a noitaminA show, so I would normally be all over it, but my last experience with a LN noitaminA show was Nananananana something and we all know how that one ended. Depending on how the Preview Guide turns up, I may give it a chance, but at the moment I'm not feeling very inclined for it

Aldnoah Zero 2 - I bloody hated the first season ever since spoiler[Inaho shot Slaine] because the writers needed some forced conflict between the two main guys, and the fact that spoiler[the princess survived AGAIN and Inaho isn't dead either] is just, ugh. But I'll admit to having some morbid curiosity about the direction this trainwreck is headed, so I may watch the first couple of episodes. If they make Slaine the new default villain I'm out.

Junketsu no Maria - I'm attracted by the setting of medieval witch hunts and the character designs, although the main premise about the MC's virginity is a red herring that makes me not-really excited. I may give it a couple of episodes

Overall, with the exception of the sequels, there's not much for Winter that's got me really pumped up, but I've been possitively surprised by many things that weren't even in my radar the past couple of seasons (Nozaki-kun, Barakamon, Bahamut) so I'm optimistic. Even if everything bombs, I still have GARO, NanaTai, Parasyte, YowaPeda and Yona to keep me excited and Sailor Moon Crystal and the horrendous Fairy Tail filler to keep me groaning, so it's still a pretty busy season.

Dang it. I thought it wouldn't be considered listing since I linked them all back to their encyclopedia page here on ANN, shoulda known better than to shortcut. I do apologize for my use of the wrong fork here, as it were. I have to run an errand atm, but will remedy this situation as soon as I return.

Thank you for your patience and consideration. Embarassed

New Pickups:
Aldnoah Zero Season 2-Watched the first season so this is a given.
Death Parade-Because Death Billiards was pretty interesting and I'm interested in what else this has to offer.
DurararaX2 Shou- Again because I really enjoyed the previous season.
Fafner: Exodus-Because the previous TV series and movie were pretty good.
Maria the Virgin Witch- I saw a preview for this and it seems interesting.
Tokyo Ghoul Season 2- Also because I watched season 1.
Tsukimonogatari-Because the Monogatari series are always fun.

Leftovers:
Fairy Tail 2
Gundam Reconguista in G
Log Horizon 2
Parasyte: The Maxim
Naruto Shippuden

The only new show I'm really interested in is Death Parade. The short is really good and I look forward to seeing what they can do across a full series. Maybe I'll have a look at Rolling Girls too although I'm doubtful it will live up to its post-apocalyptic premise given the character designs. Other than that...are Parasyte and/or Garo taking a season off? I know Fate/Stay Night is. If not I'll be sticking with those. And I'll check out Tokyo Ghoul 2 eventually (although I haven't even gotten to season 1 yet on account of the censorship).
