In a time where most anime has me perpetually bored, animaTOR Expo is the one place I can turn to where I know I will find something new and interesting. So thankful to be getting a third serving of this!

You're darn right, noblesse oblige. I love stuff like this, and was extremely happy to find out that they were making a third season. Let's hope it never ends! The talented people behind these shorts are the people who truly deserve to be creating full length TV anime, hopefully this'll have an (positive) effect on the industry in some possible way.
Now, if we could just get a third season of Space Dandy...

It's not they decided to willingly expand this because it's a big success since it was always supposed to be 30 episodes from the start, that was the original plan, they've just spread it out a little a bit maybe to keep it fresher in everyone's minds.

Yeah, there hasn't been a short I've seen that hasn't at least been interesting. There doesn't seem to be much talk about this though, nor does it seem to get much notice among anime fans at large.

That's the thing, if you're not getting the wide swath of anime fans (fujoshi, otomes, male and female otaku, casual to hardcore, kids, and OnlyGhiblis) interested, then who else is there? There is no "beyond" demographic that comes out of the woodwork for this stuff - just look at Aku no Hana's sales or pretty much any original anime from Yuasa.

I was expressing my gratitude that everything has more or less gone off without a hitch, (besides a couple of shorts getting pushed back). I do hope it leads to more interesting animation projects though. Some of the shorts seem like pitches for a longer serial ie: Carnage, Dragon Dentist, and Iconic Field. One can dream

I actually don't like it when a short is made as a pitch for a TV series, since I feel that it wasn't the intent of Animator Expo (which, I believe, is to showcase talent). Hence why some of my favorites were stuff like Kanón, Yamadeloid, and I Can Friday by Day!, which were playful standalone pieces.
