Guess it was too much to hope for RightStuf to outsource a dub for Big Windup season 2 (it's only 13 episodes)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FINALLY!!!! One of my absolute favorite shows and it actually got picked up!! I thought no distributors cared about it, but I'm super glad that Right Stuf did, completing Junichi Sato's "healing" trilogy along with Tamayura (which I did not really like, but what the heck?). I'm a little surprised that they did not go with "Sea Story", since "Umi Monogatari" seems unnecessary to go by, but I guess it was too generic sounding, after all.
This AX has been really kind to "never-gonna-happen" licenses. Thankfully, there are people out there willing to give them a chance.
So…I guess that means RS is up for M3 too, right? Wait, where's everyone going?

Junichi Sato? You just said the magic words! I will blind buy any of his series.
Tamayura: Hitose and Umi Monogatari are now on my list.
And since we're on the subject of Junichi Sato and since there have been several licenses this AX for series no one ever thought they'd see, I might as well mentioned my pie in the sky release wish: Princess Tutu on BD in a fancy collector's edition with a gorgeous box and soundtrack. I don't ever see it happening (maybe a bluray), but I might as well throw it out there.

Well that was a shock to my system In a good way!
I'm totally happy, and surprised, to see Big Windup Season 2 will actually be released stateside. Way to go, Nozomi peeps! Now if only I could watch/read/learn how the story, in its entirety, ends. *sigh* Oh well, this is much better than nothing so I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Big Windup Season 2?
Is that...a good idea? Like, I'm ecstatic and will order it for sure, but it's also the go-to example of a Funimation sales bomb. Maybe now that there's more attention on sports series it'll do better? Even still, BW isn't incredibly recent and (as far as we know) there isn't a third season on the horizon.
But whatever. Thanks Right Stuf. Never thought BW S2 would make it over.

Hell yeah, Tamayura and Umi Monogatari, give me some of that Sato Junichi x Reiko Yoshida goodness.

Here's hoping Season 2 of Big Windup fares better than Season 1 that was under Funimation's domain at the time. With sports anime still being under the radar despite gaining a bit of interest in recent years, I'm a bit surprised Right Stuf decided to pick this show up.

Yay! Tamayura and Umi Monogatari! It's a shame they're not getting dubbed, as I would have loved to see dubs for them, but oh well. I'll take what I can get.

I would LOVE that too. Princess Tutu is incredible and I always felt sad that it never came with the option for a collector's box. That said, I heard that it was a flop for ADV and they almost didn't release the last volume. (Oh can you imagine?!)
I am ECSTATIC and amazed that Big Windup 2 will get a release. I LOVE the series but never thought it would see the light of day. I will pre-order it as soon as it's available.
I'm very interested in Tamayura - Hitotose too. Great job Right Stuf/Nozomi!

From what I understand it was a flop at first but after good promotion and word of mouth it eventually became a good seller for ADV.

Seeing how I have ARIA, I guess I'll pick up Sato's thematic follow ups.
I'm actually more interested in Pita ten but it's probably nowhere near as beautifully depressing as the manga's closing chapters. I guess it just adapts the earlier fun stuff like the Mahoraba anime did.
Hey, speaking of picking up old series...
