Crossing my fingers that Kodansha will do a license rescue of Nodame Cantabile and re-release the volumes Del Rey put out.

It's definitely sad that this series has never been finished in English (with official releases anyway). It's really a great series and deserves better. Though in this particular case, while a new one shot is nice, we'd never have seen it here anyway - though if it ever does get license-rescued, maybe we would, since they'd still have tankouban to release as opposed to having to figure out how to release a single chapter.

I still find it ridiculous that Sony refuses to release the anime in North America. It even has an English dub made when Nodame was carried on Animax. It used to stream on Crackle with the dub, but Sony pulled it from there eventually as well.
The article doesn't mention where this manga fits into the overall story. Does it take place in Tokyo or in Europe?

I want Kodansha to rescue it as well. ;o;
Maybe I'll try to pick up this issue of Kiss too.

I just want the damn thing on crunchyroll.
I'm excited about this but also a bit sad. I'd rather see a story about Mine and Kiyora, which will never happen.

I have scans! Currently cleaning the chapter and waiting on my translator to get back to me.
