They seem to be wanting to attract a Chinese audience as 2 of the idols are obviously Chinese and they do have an idol industry (and a junior idol side of it as well). Star Ring has the cuter girls although Miku in Shadow is also really cute. however, there's one issue, it has a similar formula to Venus project and that may affect the quality of the anime unless the live action segments are insert songs.

As much as I enjoy the character design, the format tells me that this anime is going to be a disaster. This better not be Venus Project 2.0.
