And there it is. I think we all knew Shippuuden would end by Spring considering where it is now. 10 years of Shippuuden is a nice way to end it.

What a declaration by Kishimoto.

"Better Than Naruto" well we're just going to have to wait and see if that huge claim bears any fruit. Though I am optimistic about Boruto. Smile

This is going to go EXACTLY like Dragon Ball Super has;

a.) It's gonna adapt the Boruto Movie and Spring Scarlet of Youth volume into arcs.

b.) Also much like Super, it's gonna be ahead of the manga when it comes to content. At least, once it's gotten the aforementioned arcs above out the way.

Pretty low bar to be honest....
yeah the Naruto manga dropped in quality during Shippuden and I can't see no sequels fairing any better, I thought Kishimoto was going to do a new manga that had nothing to do with Naruto, wonder what happened to that.

Im not even surprised Rolling Eyes but like i said after the manga ended when narutos story ends so does my journey with this series(boruto the movie and the character both suck), its gonna be just like super not worth anyone's time. I honestly wish they just take this and dragon ball out back and just old yeller these series cause its been time.

Masashi Kishimoto: "I plan to make it even better than Naruto"

Those words mean nothing to me after watching shippuden.

Yeah, looks like they're going to make it up as they go.

Not going to get on this boat.

Huh, I thought for sure they would adapt the rest of the epilogue novels before they moved on to Boruto.

Maybe we can still get those as OVAs or "flashback" arcs or something.

Kishimoto isn't writing or drawing Boruto.

And here it is, I think we all assumed that this would be coming at some point, I don't really care about anything naruto related anymore, but it sure is pathetic to see how much they're milking this franchise.

Sooo, does this mean Shippuden will end or....?? And what are they going to adapt, I haven't read the manga, but I think it doesn't have anything new except for the movie parts.

I'm surprised this is happening so soon. The manga isn't even done covering the movie's events yet, and there was enough light novel material left for Shippuuden to keep running until September at least. I suppose the movie's storyline will get a very long, drawn-out, Dragon Ball Super-style adaptation, and then they'll have to come up with some original material before covering the manga's next arc, which hasn't even begun yet.

The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, however, is something I think should be adapted as part of Shippuuden, because it's very Sarada-centric, and Boruto is barely in it.
