Tripple: That game, and Mother 3 and Seiken Densetsu 3. Razz

Mother 3 is a GBA game, released long after the SNES era was over. It wouldn't be in an SNES collection. I would certainly be all over both of those titles if they finally got a US release, though.

it's Terranigma, never heard of it?

Well some us were too busy playing Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country 2, NBA Jam, Street Fighter 2, Killer Instinct, Kirby Super Star, Super Mario Kart, Eathworm Jim 2, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Ken Griffey Jr.MLB, Act Riser, Super Ghouls n Goblins, Super Mario All-Stars.

So excuse us for missing out an incredibly niche sounding game.

It's a much better collection than the NES classic even if it's missing Tetris Attack... wait, did Nintendo fully loose the rights to Killer Instinct?

Killer Instinct was never really Nintendo's IP.

My second SNES, the revamped mini version, came with Super Mario World II. Consoles actually came with games back then, exclusive ones even, what happened since then? Oh right, Sony. "We don't make games, we just take them."

Game pack in's were never really standard back in the 90's and never became standard after that, it's something that publisher's do every now and again to sweeten the deal of purchasing a system, but not something they're mandated to do.

If I find one I might pick it up. However, I already have most of the games I care about on my Wii. Yes, it's a Wii. Kirby All Stars, Mana, Kirby's Dream Course, Mario RPG, Mega Man X, and Donkey Kong Country I've already put on my VC for my still functioning Wii. Plus Chrono Trigger.

This has less value to me than the NES Classic which would have been a certain purchase if it was actually available for a reasonable price. Instead Nintendo annoyed me with its pathetic release of the NES Classic to the point I don't want to reward them by buying the SNES Classic out of spite. Hopefully this becomes a shelfwarmer that stores have to discount heavily to clear stock. I hate to have that attitude but I'm still miffed about the NES Classic.

What am I saying? Of course I'll probably still buy one if push comes to shove.

I hate myself.

Brandon: It's in the SNES format, though. And they're sure as hell not gonna put out a GBA collection anytime soon, if at all. So...

I bet this will be just like the classic NES system release. Not enough stock and stop producing it after only a few months when there is demand for it.

A great time to relive the phenomenon of the 16-Bit era! Smile
Of course, that's if the scalpers don't decimate the supply before its official debut...

Unless you can patch in the LTTP Randomizer, I'm not interested.

Star Fox 2 sounds somewhat intriguing, but as one who still has probably-working SNES cartridges of 15 (16 if SFII: The World Warrior substitutes for SFII Turbo) of the other 20 games, it's probably not enough to make me go out of the way to get the SNES Mini. Now, if they included certain other games that never saw the light of day in the US...

it's Terranigma, never heard of it? It was only released in Japan and Europe and is the best SNES game together with Zelda ALttP and Super Metroid.
Well, some have played Terranigma via emulation, or in my case, experienced it via other means.

Secret of Mana over Chrono Trigger? You have got to be kidding. Mana is a great game, sure, but few games on the SNES are better than CT. I can only hope Square Enix held it back because they're finally planning to do something with it, but it's still an annoying exclusion.
I'd rather they "did something" with Secret of Mana, whether it's fixing the glitchiness/bugginess, rewriting the awkward oversimplified dialogue, or reintegrating whatever storyline and gameplay elements were lost in the wake of the SNES CD add-on's cancellation. As the games currently exist, Chrono Trigger is definitely the superior choice. At least they have Final Fantasy III (which I assume is actually VI, once again) representing Squaresoft JRPGs. Now a whole new cadre of gamers can Vanish+Doom their way to victory and abuse Magic Evade% boosts to be invincible to practically everything. Just remember kids, the goggles do nothing Exclamation

As an enhanced port of the Playstation version, yes, but originally it was an SNES game.

We haven't even gotten so much as a PC port of the mobile version despite all the mobile-to-PC ports we've gotten for Final Fantasy. Not that those are ideal, but it'd be something.

#1 You can totally buy a console bundled with a game

#2 It's ludicrous to point out Sony as not making games, especially in the console space where their output is more so than their competition. They're literally the worst example you could use. Especially mid 2017 when they're coming off of a hit like Horizon, Nintendo has Zelda, and MS is the lone one out there not really making games all that much. Why Sony gets singled out is bizarre.
