In my opinion they shouldn't have made the gameplay way too similar to Soul games. Now when the game comes most reviewers gonna compare it souls series and from look of it, its no were near as good as those games so it gonna get judge pretty harshly.
its a shame, even tho this game is new IP this game will forever be known as "anime Dark souls".

Ever since the first trailer was released, it's been known as "anime Dark Souls." Sure, the gameplay may seem almost the same, but it resembles God Eater far more than it ever will Dark Souls, and that's because it's the same studio who made the aforementioned games.

Thing is they're probably banking on the comparison at the same time because they're the publisher of DS and want people who are fans of the successful series to check this out.
