I really don't understand why you would want to ride a real life roller coaster while completely covering your eyes with a VR helmet. What a waste of the thrilling roller coaster experience... Even wearing 3D glasses while on a ride (like Universal's "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey") takes away from the enjoyable realism of it.
