This just reminded me that this is actually the longest time between a SW's project. Usually 2 years for a new project. 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 ....

Recently bought the Blu-ray discs for both first and second season. Really a great franchise. Live event included with the first season gave me a new appreciation for the music.

The franchise had some ideas and not just ones regarding bare legs and animal ears but ones regarding alternate pre-WWII politics and alliances which just ended up concentrating on what the audience liked, the bare legs and animal ears thing.

Ten years? How time flies. Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. Well, if they were going for world history figure reimagined as young girls, why stop with fighter pilots? The spin off series should have taken the "war on the home front" angle and reimagined entertainment figures... as young girls... with bare legs and animal ears?

Wait, what was the appeal of this franchise again?
