my first reaction was that this is a let down for their be hype. Then I realized this *isn't* the thing they hyped up. They still got their June 9th announcement, that's supposed to shock the world.

Will this be a worldwide campaign like Pokemon was on the WiiU? If not, I further curse the fact I'm still stuck with the English game...

I'm guessing that this is the Japanese version of the Ninja Turtles splatfest that NA and EU has been doing the past two weeks.
Which is sad, because aside from having better choices (debatable), it looks like there's a lot more effort going into the Sanrio promotion. And even though I did GAF about a Ninja Turtles when I was a kid, I never really thought they had distinct enough personalities to fight over Best Turtle. Hello Kitty is too girly for westerners, of course, so we have to get "manly" (boyish?) turtles instead.
