Seeing an old Fruits Basket cast member supporting the new Fruits Basket anime and its new cast this much really warms my heart.

Seki Tomokazu's performance in the original Furuba was exceptional, one of his most memorable roles for me. So him supporting this new version makes me even more excited:D

Class act from Seki-san. Not a fan of the new casts, but it won't affect my long-treasured sentiments for FB.

I would've liked to have heard Seki as Kyo again in the remake, but it's nice to see him supportive of the old cast.
It would be kind of neat if they cast him as Kyo's dad or Kazuma.

Remakes well-beloved series (TV or movie) involving re-casts are a sensitive issue as many people are fans of the orig. cast (whatever the language). However, there can be some saving grace if an actor/actress from the orig. version of show or movie plays a character in the new version. For that to truly be a saving grace, it helps to be at least a main supporting character.
