I backed the original short movie and was quite pleased with the result. It was nothing groundbreaking, but just what I wanted it to be: a charming little classic Christmas story with a heartwarming touch. I wonder how much longer the extended version would be. Not sure how it would work pacing-wise, as the scope of the story probably wouldn’t work well in a one-hour movie.

Ah, I remember these two Kickstarters. I think there was supposed to be a third film project to bring the studio's portfolio together? I can't remember if it was ever crowdfunded, though, or if it was and didn't meet its final goal. I'm still glad I have these physical releases, and definitely during the heyday of anime Kickstarters, it was a lot of fun to be a part of.
