Sounds like a herculean task of creating a good live-action adaptation of something like this, but they've grown so much in the directing department when it comes to super-hero like things so I have good expectations for them over this.

I hope this turns out better than that live action movie Japan did a few years ago where they tried to make Gatchaman all dark and edgy.

Because that’s what a LA version would be. Actually that sounds amazing. |

To be fair though Gatchaman was made in the 70's which had it's fair share of dark anime & manga properties. Which was one of the reasons for why we got the lighter "Battle Of The Planets" dub. |

Yeah,I wouldn't have an issue with them making it a little dark (the original show did have people getting murdered constantly by the villains and heroes alike). Hopefully they decide to direct it,the material is perfect for them.

I remember when there was some studio that was trying to make this a reality. Just like when WETA tried making an Evangelion movie that never happened. Well, here we go again...at least someone is finally going to do it.
