I'm still annoyed that GameStop bought every single standalone video game retailer in our area at the time. When they decided to only carry current gen systems and games, there were no actual places to buy retro games anymore because they killed them. Online purchasing was still pretty wonky in the early 2000s, too. Bad product descriptions, missing parts, usually no tracking on the package, and unscrupulous sellers just outright taking your money and then closing the account. It was better to get your stuff at a store or a convention (if you were lucky enough to have one nearby). I don't exactly hate them since I that's been well over a decade, but I do still miss Rhino Games.
