Sad news but at least the park at Tokyo already opened despite the pandemic affecting it's inauguration. I wonder if the Super Mario Bros. movie by Illumination will be delayed as well, perhaps Universal wanted the movie to came out alongside the U.S. park, I thnik the movie was scheduled for 2022 or 2023, but with the Minions sequel delayed to next year perhaps the Mario movie will be delayed.

The Universal Studios Japan park isn't in Tokyo, it's in Osaka. And the Super Nintendo World park in USJ isn't open officially yet. Some people who have year passes and won a lottery got a preview to the park, but aside from them and press, it's not open to the public just yet.
