I'm not familiar with Steam, but if you purchased and downloaded Final Fantasy V and VI, will you no longer be able to play them? If so then that's ridiculous.

No, they'll still be in your library and can be redownloaded at any time. They just won't be available for purchase anymore. |

Assuming the new ones are better, then it's for the better. The only good thing the mobile port of 6 did was make Cyan's Bushido usable. Hopefully these new pixel remakes keep the change.

Were the Steam ones ports of the super ugly IOS versions? Good riddance.

The pixel graphics look nice actually, much better than those old crappy mobile versions. However the UI sucks and so does the prices. I'd probably wait for a big sale, not in a rush to replay these.
