Hopefully it goes better than that French attempt at a movie (Studios balked at the price tag and perceived similarities to Guardians of the Galaxy).

Cobra would be perfect as a side-scroller. It did help influence Rockman, after all.

My first exposure to Cobra was via Matthew Sweet: Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend, which naturally led to Space Adventure Cobra (TV).
You can find some real gems in the AMVs. |

I hope it's like the Sega CD game from the early 90's. That thing was awesome!

First Grendizer, now this. Microids really getting the into the French anime nostalgia market.
Remains to be seen how these turn out though - the company is mostly known for obscure adventure games, and their big entry into action games was the disastrous XIII remaster. |

I watched a video about the works that inspired Metroid and apparently Space Adventure Cobra was one of the major sources of inspiration, even more so than Alien as most people say. I think it would be interesting for this Cobra game to be a Exploration Action game like Metroid. |

This is a good fit for a game vs another anime. The scifi anime was from different era when people were into scifi and action. In video games the genres are live and well.
I just hope its done well. |
