I got the impression both Alya and No longer Allowed were somewhat belittled by the reviewers in the video. Alya is immensely popular, and so is the latter but perhaps not to the same degree; it isn't a conventional isekai we're used to but rather more a deconstruction seeing how it plays around with the tropes and the story structure.
If anything both are going to be hits this season, if for nothing else then simply for the momentum of their respective source materials. |
