I'm not familiar with her, but I wish her best for her post-retirement journey.

Kind of strange she's retiring when her voice acting career has barely started, but I'm sure she has her reasons.

She isn't the first to retire quite early. I remember the singer/seiyuu, Kumi Miyasato, from the 80s that voiced one character for the anime Megazone 23 Parts I & II, released three albums, then disappeared from the spotlight. There's no information online that I've been able to find (at least in English) about whether she retired or if she's even still alive. It's a shame, too, she had a really good voice!

Edit: Just found that her Japanese Wikipedia page said she announced her retirement on a Japanese radio show called, Yatayaruze Information Bureau, in March of 1989.
