The manga centers on Botan Kamiina, a 20-year-old in her first year in college, who becomes a little bolder and says surprising things when she gets drunk.

How does that make her any different than the average person?

What you have quoted in bold is an English translation of a piece of Japanese text which is used as a short introduction to the Kamiina Botan manga on Akita Shoten's websites, on-line bookshop sites, and the like. (Akita Shoten is the publishing firm which publishes the Kamiina Botan manga.) The nuances of the wording of the original Japanese text are somewhat 'suggestive'.

As I have said in another thread about the Kamiina Botan manga/anime, the Akita Shoten publishing firm romanises the '酔へる' part of the Japanese title of the Kamiina Botan manga as 'yoeru'.
Is there a particular reason why Anime News Network romanises the '酔へる' part of the title as 'yoheru'?
