It's not really a surprise given the leaks from months ago, but I'm glad to see it confirmed to be in those islands, the leak about the dynamic generating world is now more credible. For once, it's the Water starter that interests me the most.

Despite some of the, let's say, deficiencies, of the past few Gens, I've still been buying the games (probably making the problem worse, lol) and plan on getting this, too... uh, when I finally get a Switch 2, which might be a while.

Suddenly Pokemon going after Palworld makes a lot more sense. This looks a hell of lot like the Palpagos Islands. Even the starters look pretty Palworld-y. Wonder if they changed any designs or art to capitalize on the Palworld popularity.
At least they have a sense of humor. IGN and Pokemon already doing a 'too much water' joke about the games. |

SO MUCH HYPE when I saw the same scenes as what we saw in the leaks! Project Gaia IS Winds and Waves, so cool!!!!!
Oh, we can do better than Angry Birds! I saw a side-by-side with Rock Lee! What else does anybody got ahaha |

This is likely the game to tip me over to finally getting a Switch 2 as it's the new Switch 2 game I've been most excited about. Like I was never huge into Mario Kart in general and Donkey Kong looked neat but not a must have for me. I was interested in Legends Z-A but again it wasn't a must have but give me a new mainline gen Pokemon and I'm in. The fire type is probably my favorite of this group of starters so far.

I'd love if their final evolution could be either Grass/Combat - Water/Psychic - Fire/Dark so that the triangle of weakness could go both directions like the current gen, or if they could use some of the remaining missing 6 starters secondary types or 5 if we take out Dragon as it exists for 2 Mega, a Komainu-like Fire/Rock would be nice for this pochi, for the 2 others a Water/Ice reptile would be interesting as it would go against their physiology and maybe a flying Grass/Electrik chicken for an energising and vegetarian KFC?
