I will be sad once it’s over. It’s been a fantastic story. I absolutely hate the anime went down the wrong path with season 2 and really wish they would give us a third and possibly fourth seasons.

Long overdue.
It had lost uts footing a while ago, like 10-15 volumes ago.
Yuu became even more annoying, the story is weird, and yet I couldn't stop reading every chapter lol. I was like.. hm.. maybe the next one will be better.. but it never improved and only got worse.

My big complain with the series wasn't the protagonist but the fact even though every character wielded weapons, the author refused to draw fight scenes and instead every chapter was filled with interactions. Even Yu's angel mode or whatever you call it ended being pointless for the fights. Same with the vampires who the cast had to defeat teaming up in season 2.

People who only watched the anime have no idea the insane direction the story went after.

I kind of dropped it long time ago but I just remember it was just not as exciting as it used to be
Maybe I give it another shot in the future when it properly ends

Dear god. FINALLY.
Seraph of the End has some of the worst dialogue. In any manga. Ever. Maybe it is the translation, but I doubt it. It was never great, but especially after the material that was adapted into the anime, the character writing took a MASSIVE nosedive for about 90% of the cast. Which is problematic...as most of the chapters were just dialogue. Boring, boring dialogue that was at the 2nd grade level (especially with Yuu).
People are right, the story went insane. Hence why I still read it...even if it was painful at times. Would I recommend it? Nope. Watch the anime, which at least has nice music, great animation, and wonderful water colored backgrounds.
Also, it isn't like the anime really went its own direction. Sure the last 4 minutes kinda did...but if they ever wanted to make more, they easily could. But then again, who would care?

I think the more recent chapters have shown improvement. Especially after those crazy past lives flashbacks that were basically saying Mika and Yu had switched places. But that came at the cost of the important and interesting characters being unceremoniously killed off.
It is hard to take the story seriously since the authors often seem to purposely make the story cheesy.
Still gonna stick with it until the end though.
