Hello,
I want to ask if anyone knows why Evangelion vol.9 isn’t available anywhere, used and new copies of it cost $66.00 and $758.00 on amazon, and the Viz page doesn’t say is out of print or anything.

It's just yet another series/volume that Viz has let go out of print, regardless of what their website says.

Borders lists that they have this volume on backorder online. I wonder if that's worth a try....

Uh, no, there's really no reason for Viz to have let this go out of print. Individual volumes needing another printing is nothing new; the first volume of Phoenix seemed to have vanished off the face of the Earth for a year (or two? Don't remember) before Viz reprinted that.

I'd recommend just waiting out for a new printing if you can't find a cheap copy.

Yes, don't worry about NGE.
1. The series hasn't been completed yet, there are still a few volumes left to go.
2. Anime remake will probably boost the popularity of the manga .

Series like Saint Seiya or Basara aren't likely to get reprints of rare volumes, but NGE is too popular for Viz to ignore.

It'd be nice if we had a way to contact VIZ and ask though. I finally decided to break down and pay 70 bucks for it, only to find that the only seller on amazon now wants 500 for it. i'm not THAT desperate, but damn close...

Thee is a contact page somewhere on Viz's website. They don't usually respond, but someone on this forum got a Basara 20 from them.

Well, I contacted them, but I doubt I'll get a reply. I'd just be happy if places would get stock. I love Evangelion, and would really like to have the manga.
