The song will either not be remembered by anyone in four months or its going to become a horrible embarrassing internet meme.

Weird. I figure he'd sing for the Hollywood remake. I wonder if he's seen Starblazers.

I had to laugh at this. I love Steven Tyler, but I find it surprising and funny that he is singing the theme song for the live action Yamato film. Never thought I'd hear something like that. Still though, I wonder what the song will sound like?

So the theme isn't going to be the classic Yamato opening theme Isao Sasaki sang? Fail.

I'm hoping the song turns out good. Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" was probably the best part of Armaggedon Laughing

See... I was gonna say the exact opposite. I hope it's nothing like the horrific "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing". I'm not even a huge Aerosmith fan and looking back it seemed to be their jumping the shark as I think many of their older fans say. Hell, even Fly Away from Here was a better ballad than that. That or maybe it was just the video with all its anime influences won me over. Half naked Jessica Biel didn't hurt either. Plus Miss A Thing was one of those songs that got played everywhere and it got old fast.

Actually, the big news here is this is Tyler's first solo single. That's pretty damn big news. I know being around Boston I kept hearing on the nightly news rumblings about the band breaking up, so this is just more fuel to those rumors.

Not necessarily. They might use his song for the credits for all we know. I too hope that the original theme song you refer to is used for this movie, but I think we should wait for more info before we jump to conclusions.

Yeah I'm betting on this song being played during the end credits or maybe in the background in the movie somewhere.

The latest trailer uses the song. Doesn't sound too bad, sounds like a pretty standard Aerosmith song, only no Aerosmith just Tyler.
