This is where you come forth and confess you have a soft spot for a particular series, knowing that it´s considered bad or sub-par by the vast majority of the community.

Its like Independence Day. you know its bad, but you end up enjoying it anyway

For me it would probably be NightWalker and Geneshaft.

Nightwalker is a pretty dull and incomplete series. but for some strange reason i like it a lot.

Same thing for geneshaft, which has an added nostalgia value to it since it was the first ever anime i watched on TV from begging to end. Its a mediocre series at best, yet i never get tired of watching it.

Judging by the ratings on this site nothing apparently. Though I do wonder about how skewed they are for anime like Ichigo Mashimaro. I don't think that many people outside of its target audiences would pick it up.

Generator Gawl-there is nothing great about it but I enjoyed it and I especially love the theme song, when I first heard the theme song I couldn't get it out of my head lol. And its the first anime my wife ever liked.

Guilty pleasures, eh? I guess that for me, that that would be Negima! (particularly the last episode); it's almost -- but not quite -- camp.

Lol that's really funny because I am excectly the same. When I was watching it I was thinking this Anime is mediocre by pretty much all applicable standards so why am I enjoying it so much!

Another one I liked is the movie Detonator Orgun Again cheesy and cliched to the extreme but somehow pulled off with enough panache to have me enjoy it =)

Mine would have to be Inuyasha, I know it gets alot of hate for the fillers, but for some reason I could never stop watching it.

i just remembered, i also like Eatman 98, mainly because i find the Bolt Crank character awesome, even if he barely talks and has no personality.

how can you go wrong with a dude that can eat steel and reforge it into weapons with his hand?

For me guilty pleasures usually involve one of 2 kinds of titles. Either series with lots of T%A and sexy fanservice or mindless action shows that are good to watch at night before bed to pass time and make ya sleepy. So generally titles like Queens Blade, Ikki Tousen, Negima, Rosario + Vampire, and Kanokon for T&A shows, and for mindless action to pass time shows like Getbackers, Kaze no Stigma, Generator Gawl, Devil May Cry, and Gravion.

That show wasn't bad though. It just "eh".

Highschool of the Dead is a big one. I can spot the flaws, I just don't care!

I'm glad FUNi is bringing over both Rosario + Vampire series--and the version (I believe) they're bringing over is the uncensored Japanese DVD release version.

By the way, one show with over-done fanservice that you realize that is actually VERY good is Najica Blitz Tactics. I really enjoyed it for the surprisingly good storytelling and great jazz music score. It's a guilty pleasure, but a surprisingly good one.

Rosario + Vampire is probably one, since watching it I also picked up and collected what manga I could.

Devil May Cry may be another, I hear bad things about it, but I generally liked it.

And possibly Inukami!, often seen as a perverted mess (the series calls it's own viewers perverts) or not talked about much, I find it absolutly hilarious.

Might aswell also put in Kodomo no Jikan, this series is either liked by a small minority, hated by a larger perportion, or they stay the hell away from it.

Guilty pleasure? Eh. I don't feel guilty at all but if I did I would say all of it. Most adults and even most teens I know cannot comprehend why I watch "children's cartoons" at all.

If "guilty pleasures" means something like "comfort food", secret favourites that I fall back on but know are bad for me,then I haven't got any. As for all the shows I actually love and am capable of watching repeatedly, I can definitely explain why I think there's something of value in them, and I am unashamed! (Even if some of them, like Mahou Tsukai Tai!, might seem a little.. frivolous... to others.)

But there've been plenty of things I've watched once, and thoroughly enjoyed once, and yet think with another part of my brain are pretty bad. I'm thinking Mahoromatic (oh my goodness), Ai Yori Aoshi, and others.

Obviously this is subjective, and others may be able to defend Mahoromatic as eloquently I urge the (admittedly sub-par) charms of New Cutey Honey. Very Happy

Fate/stay night. Biggest guilty pleasure for me. It's as nonsensical as it gets, but still a lot of fun.

And who could ever forget this:

Mine is definitely Love Hina. After I watched it the first time, I ended up watching it again less than 3 weeks later and immediately had to buy the series, OAV, Christmas/Spring specials, and the manga Embarassed I'm a sucker for a rom-com and, even though this one has its detractors(and rightfully so in some points), I still can't get enough.
