With the manga on-going, I'm not exactly sure what the anime will build up to in the end, probably an original conclusion.

The manga's giving the impression that it might be almost over though. They might be able to animate the story's true ending.
Or at least I hope they will. |

Yep - I'm hoping that the ending of the manga and the anime will coincide (or pretty closely). My feeling is that the timing of the animation may have been chosen to be able to do this.
Not that I'm hoping that the manga will end per-se, but they'll need a brand new overarcing story soon to continue it. The character adaption appears to have gone well - nice and clean, though I think Yuuko may be just the slightest bit rounder in the face in the anime (a bit hard to tell from this). |
