A very good move. This should just about put an end to Bandai's rampant replication issues of the past. It's not to say it will never happen, but the odds of a problem occurring are now substantially lower.

I was thinking the same thing. Bandai must have had enough with their previous manufacturer.

Good on them. I haven't been hit with the Bandai bug (yet...), but hopefully this will prevent anyone else from having to get disks replaced in the future.

It's about time that they got their act together.

Ah, my faith in Bandai DVDs is now restored. Smile

Thanks Bandai!

Still seems a tad odd and silly to me to see Bandai and Technicolor in the same sentence (like as if that would ever happen until now). Razz

I must agree this was a very good decision.

Good to hear. My Code Geass DVD met with the same lockup issue as the others early on, though fortunately it's able to continue after a moment.

So far I've been lucky enough not to get any problem discs from Bandai. Well, unless you count how they screwed up the initial release of Zeta Gundam, but that's not really a disc problem. I'm glad they're tackling the issue before it becomes a real epidemic.

Good move, Bandai. Hopefully we'll get much fewer skippy DVDs. (Which I've had happen with a few volumes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex and vol. 2 of Flag--in the latter case, I had to buy it twice because episode 7 wouldn't even play at all.)
