What have happened on hibakusha (atomic bombing survivors) in Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms happens again (sigh).
I keep wondering why Japan has a social caste system so similar to that of India: four generic castes plus a caste-less at the bottom (Burakumin and Dalit, respectively), and the religious philosophy of "the pure vs. the tainted." |
