Silly games that minions play: frequently when I am working on the specials, I find myself needing to look up one title or another on our site. When this occurs, I usually try and figure out the minimum number of characters I can type so that I can quickly turn up the item I need without sifting through a bunch of other stuff. So for the Spice and Wolf DVD/Blu-ray combo, I might try "Wolf DVD," but that's not a clear winner because I've forgotten about Lone Wolf & Cub and Wolf's Rain. "Spice DVD," while one character longer, is much more effective. If I can leverage my exhaustive knowledge of anime and manga titles to get five results or less in no more than 10 characters - on the first try, mind you, or it doesn't count - I win!

Legend of the Legendary Heroes must've given you fits.
I've noticed that if you type Ookami-san it leads you to manga Mr. Tiger and Mr. Wolf instead of the DVD/BD from Funimation. To get that you have to type one less "O" and use Okami-san, which is technically wrong, but there isn't exactly a key for Ō. The more you know... |

I can get away with "of legendary" for that one, though it's one more character than I try for. I admit, it's not a perfect game.
Huh, thanks for pointing that out. We'll update the key words for that title. We try and put in both the English and the Japanese for each title, but romanization can be, as you noted, different between different people. If you'd tried "okamisan to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi," it would have worked. 
...D'oh! I forgot we've got "Densetsu no Yusha no Densetsu" in for Legendary Heroes. Type in "yusha" and you win! |

If you want to replace your Ranma 1/2 VHS with the DVD seasons, then you should jump on that really quick because the series is quickly going OOP. Rightstuf only has Season 3 available for purchase. Looking back in Rightstuf's history, Seasons 2, 6, and 7 were all delisted in August. You can still buy a majority of the seasons for a decent price on Amazon, except for Season 1 (which is now going for $999.99 new). Oh wait, I found a second entry for Season 1 - you can still buy a new one for about $150.
