I just pre-ordered the PS3 version. With shipping, it came to almost $70. I do not own a PS3.

What have I done.

^I did the same thing, and I'm sure we're not alone on this. I plan on getting a Japanese Xbox360, so this helped my decision.

U.S. version is going to be better because it comes with more songs in the soundtrack then the Japanese version. Also from what I have seen that cover as shown in the Japanese cover is actually used on the bonus dvd disc that comes with the game in the U.S. version.

Anyways I reserved mine for PS3 at Gamestop.com so I can get the cool artbook.
