I'm certainly looking forward to it (and have been since it was announced a few weeks ago...evidently I forgot to forward that news to ANN...my bad).

D&Q have a couple of other classic gekiga works due out in the next few months (The Box Man and Red Kimono) and they released Susumu Katsumata's Red Snow last week in a lovely hardback edition. It's like Red Colored Elegy meets The Color Of Earth with a hint of Abandon The Old In Tokyo and a dash of Screw Style. Good stuff.

This is one of the earliest gekiga, right? It'll be really interesting to compare it to the kind of material Tatsumi produced a decade; the ideas and techniques he refers to in bio-comic sound rather interesting.
