anime#15742

A comedy with some horror elements about a bullied girl who can see spirits. Her and her friends unlock the mysteries of this weird pink creature they find that can interact with the spirits. I give it props for being short but still managing to have a story, be funny at times and I really like Wakaba's design for some reason.

I'm surprised I didn't see a topic for this in a find or the index because I could swear I made one already. Oh, well.

I'm really enjoying this show and am looking forward to the guy's next anime. For those who haven't started it yet but get interested, it may be worth waiting and tanking because it's not just a bunch of 1-shots. There's a slight story going and waiting a week for a 5-minute bite of it might not be optimal for some.

The show has some hilarious facial expressions and Pupo has some really weird imagery sometimes.

I'm so glad someone started up a discussion thread for this show. I've watched all nine short episodes so far and I really like them. Nice blend of humour along with more serious content (not super serious, just somewhat). Like the ED song, too, even though it doesn't last long. I wish CR or some other legit site had it - this is the only title I have to depend on fansubbers for.

The finale was very touching and the reveal was very unexpected, even though it was hinted that po-chan was related to Wakana.spoiler[Po being current Wakana and Yuuki's child taken by a spirit to cause miscarriage was very sad, but at least the new version we meet him this time as their son]

There are some anime with short eppies that you wouldn't want them to be full-length. They are fine as short, little gems. Pupipo! is one example where I would love to see a version with full-length eppies even though I very much enjoyed them in their shorter form. And yes, the finale was both emotional and (to me) unexpected. What a pity this title didn't get a legitimate stream in North America.
