I think the Golden Week holidays might have something to do with the slowness of Japanese TV ratings updates.

I long for the days when ratings for late-night shows were routinely leaked by industry insiders. One of the best archives of such data is here, but it ends in 2012. Now all I see are ratings for the most popular shows. If there is any site like that old Geocities site, I'd love to hear about it.
