Since Im not a big fan of the downloaded content for manga, now I'm bit inclined to subscribe it without losing anything. :/ I still miss the physical prints.

I didn't subscribe to Alpha because there's nothing left in there that I'm interested in, but I'm surprised it wasn't download-to-own previously. It seems kinda bad to charge close to the same price as a physical subscription to the previous Shonen Jump, when the digital copy wasn't even to own.

Yea I mostly do physical, only time I'll switch to digital if everything becomes digital at that point.

I really wish they would just put their comics up on Comixology, it would be so nice to have a one stop store.

Comixology is worse IMO - files are DRM'd (or rather, encrypted) and Comixology Terms of Srvice make it clear that you aren't buying the comics, just paying for a license to view them - a license that can be revoked at any time. Viz's apps download folders full of ordinary JPG files, so at least if a license gets pulled you can still read any backups you've made.

That's why it doesn't matter whether they're DRMed and expire or not.

Simply incredible. While it still needs to be expanded nationally, they have really turned Shonen Jump Alpha into everything I could have ever hoped it to be. Every single one of my personal complaints is now gone. It's going to be caught up, and it's going to be permanent.

I'm so happy that SJA has been such a success. Sometimes I worry about this community and all of its false entitlement, but apparently just enough people supported SJA to make it something successful, which has to say a lot.

Would I be able to convert the official downloads to CBR format? 'because I hate the Viz reading app, but if I can read their electronic stuff more comfortably, I'm pretty much sold!
