My body is ready for this. It's been years since GITS came out with any sort of revival. Can't wait :3

Good to know the option is there to import, but I'm going to wait instead since this is from a popular franchise and thus has a high likelyhood of being licensed and dubbed.

Can we have this user ban for being ignorant and prejudice and/or trolling against dubs?

Never liked the GitS dubs. Maybe it was the Tachikomas, because they got infinitely more annoying when they got dubbed.

Sub = preorder for me Smile

On a side note, I am disappointed that Motoko and Batou were re-casted. Atsuko Tanaka and Akio Otsuka were perfect for the roles and they should have stayed IMHO. But I am willing to keep an open mind and give the new seiyuu a chance.

Isn't Maaya Sakamoto playing Makoto? Yeah, should be fine. It's like a younger version of the original anyway, iirc.

Troll much? This is why I dislike it when Japan does this because people just import and don't bother with the R1 release when it happens.

As much as I want to buy this, I really would like it to get a dub. I love the cast of Stand Alone Complex, but who knows if the dub would include those actors since the Japanese dub is getting new actors.

The US sales actually matter when they import instead of having to go through a middleman, so its a far better way to support something you like.

It doesn't support the domestic company though, and that's what he's worried about. Some people actually prefer less expensive bilingual versions from their own country over a more expensive import with only a Japanese track. I import stuff here and there myself but only as a last resort when I'm pretty sure we won't get it here. Basically, that means it's only happened 15 times.

Why would you care about the middleman? Thats like wanting to buy used games from Gamestop instead of directly so you could give money to Gamestop as the middle man. If you truly want to support something, support the creator.

If we are living in an interconnected global society with lessening language barriers...how long before the middleman is entirely cut out and Japan expects the international audience to pay what the domestic audience does? They won't care if this kills or shrinks the anime communities in other countries if the overall cash flow stays the same or even possibly increases from those few devoted importers. Yeah of course I don't really like, cheap is better, but I'm also realizing the future of globalism and its impact. Though, adding subs to all releases is a nice change, really makes importing feel more useful than just "owning the show", I wish some recent BDs had done this.

If you care about the dubbing companies and dubs, I don't know what the future holds in store. There's obviously a market, but it may be pushed aside in favor of Japanese companies directly soliciting their shows. Though I suppose there's nothing stopping them from producing dubs of their own? So you'll get the shows with subs and dubs, but they'll cost six times as much as they used to.

Again, because the middleman sells me DVDs and BDs for less money and I want my anime bilingual. Please read posts before you respond to them.
