I teach in an inner-city middle school and Hello Kitty is VERY popular this year. I can totally see the Afro Kitty taking off with my kids. She looks really cute.

The Japanese don't usually come to mind when I think of old white men. And this is hardly the most offensive thing I've seen come out of Japan. |
