I think it would be interesting if we try having a "General Discussion / Off-Topic" forum here on the Anime News Network forums.
What do you guys think? (I'm sorry, does this belong in the "Talkback" forum, but I would like this question to get some extra exposure and I figure most of the forum users here would be visting this forum. Perhaps this should be a poll?) |

I have always wondered why a general discussion forum doesn´t exist but after a while I stopped caring because well this is an anime site so a just anime forum is not really surprising. If I wanted to talk about anything other than anime, I would talk to my friends. F-R-I-E-N-D-S. Not the show but the people I always talk to. You´ve heard of those right.

 I don't see why we can't have a general discussion topic forum, either. This may be an anime site, but plenty of other anime sites have general discussion forums too, so I don't see why this site couldn't have one as well.

Because some of the people that visit these forums are not mature enough (I won't point any fingers, you know who you are) to handle a completely off topic section. The site will probly attract a bunch of loser-no-lives to discuss how they rock and everyone else that isn't themselves suck. Then the site will be known as "the place that has the crappy general forum section" rather than "the #1 source of anime news on the net". Use the chat, and for the love of god use it with maturety. |
