I'm a big fan of Yu Yu Hakusho and I was wondering if the movie was good. Also i heard they didn't have the same voices from the tv show is that true? finally when does it take place in the YYH sagas? also which of the 2 movies are better?

I haven't seen the first, but as far as Poltergiest Report I believe it takes place after the series. Anyway the movie is pretty standard. It's your typical an even greater evil comes forth and our heroes must rise to the challenege. Every character has a moment to shine. If you watch it dubbed no it doesn't have the same VAs as the TV show (the movie was licensed way before the TV series and was licensed by a diffeent company at that). But if you're a YYH fan it's worth watching.

umm it doesn't take place after I think during dark tournament maybe? am not sure on that I haven't seen it in years but youy can tell by what moves they use in it

I saw the movie a while ago as well, but really liked it at that point in time. I don't know how well it would stand up today versus what I've seen since, but I'm sure I liked it better than the dubs I saw on CN/[AS]. In fact, I was looking forward to watching the series after they announced it only because of the movie - but once I finally saw the series, I was underwhelmed to say the least.

It's been a long time since I saw the movie. I saw back before the TV show was ever licensed. I enjoyed it at the time despite not knowing jack about the characters, although I'm not sure how I would feel about it now that I've seen over half of the TV series. I haven't seen the other movie (which is only 27 minutes long) so I can't compare them.

The Poltergeist Report movie was licensed long before the TV series and by someone other than FUNImation, so that's why it has different voices.

I don't know when it takes place in relation to the TV series, but it is after the Chapter Black Saga at the earliest.

Well Poltergeist Report is the better of the two YYH films, but the films don't really measure up to the greatness of the series in my opinion. They're worth a watch though.
