Even in 240p, Log Horizon looks great.

I think in this day and age everything is a "rip off" of something else. So lets just enjoy

Damn, someone beat me to it, LOL. Seriously though? Where are all of the damn healers?
;< I'm tired of seeing these anime MMORPG'ers use only potions.

honestly the bit of the video that has me most insterested is that the OP theme is apparently from Man With A Mission!
Still, this looks like a potentially fun series, and I'm hoping it's able to escape the, er, less than desirable shadow of SAO.

I know it's 240p but the art seems totally outdated to me. It looks like they pick up their character-design from a 10 years old shounen. Also, the animation looks pretty poor.

Wow, it looks like the creator of this has actually played an MMO. There's magic, ranged attacks, and most importantly, the people can actually see your level!
I'll check out the first episode at least.

Considering this is the same author as "Maoyū Maō Yūsha," I'm not surprised there was some research done.

These were my first thoughts as well.
I am not liking the look of this at all.

Well to be honest I wouldn't really call Sign all that representative of the genre. That show was hardly about being trapped in an MMO at all, and was more a weird, cryptic, slowly moving fantasy.
This looks to have potential. I had no problem with the animation. The character designs are unusual, which I approve of. Otherwise every show would look the same as per normal practice. Also then it would have looked exactly like SAO.

You sure it was "sign" you watched then?

I'm having a feeling that there's a decent chance of this being an altogether good/great show from start-to-finish, doing things better than what SAO apparently accomplished by the end, but it'll get passed on by a bunch of people for "being a SAO ripoff" or not having as many potential/marketable waifus in its cast. (And is it just me, or do the simple character designs somewhat resemble those seen in The Eccentric Family?)

C'mon, Japan is not exactly known for playing MMOs (that's Korea and China). Which kinda makes it amusing that they like to watch MMOs yet not play (in general).
