I am digging that so many artists did Pirotess over the vanilla elf. Can't wait to see those all scanned in high res.

just my opinion before anybody gets hairball but those samples were awful and really should die in a fire. please tell me half those sample drawings were made by the same artist and not mostly made by all of them,in the most degrading ill proportions possible.To each there own I guess but Damn.

Fail troll really i said my opinion not yours or what everybody's should be if you like seeing drawings like that then all the power to you go out and buy it. But to me those samples are horrid. They were artist's that could have went with vista's of lodoss and architecture hell epic fantasy battle's which were in the anime by the way not well THAT. Once again not a troll just a bad art book in my Opinion.

With all the rich material to draw upon for an artbook, it's really sad to see that they exclusively focused on cheesecake elf stuff, drawing her with proportions that don't even exist in the show.

Also forgot to add that those things might still be in the artbook don't know for sure can't say there not if I don't know just could be the samples shown were not giving enough variety.

The included samples are every page in the artbook. And yeah, I'm disappointed by the lack of dragon-fighting and Ashram. |

I'm also not entirely keen on the art in this book, it comes across a little more like a gravure photoshoot than a series art gallery, though considering it's fanart I guess it's understandable. The proportions though, and even the anatomy, can look really off at times --- some of them make Deedlit look a whole lot shorter and younger than she does in the OVA (the arms on the piece by minoa in particular just look anatomically way too short). That said, there are some good ones that do pretty well in capturing the spirit of Lodoss (particularly the ones by Akihiro Kimura, KeG, Iiwa, Erect Sawaru, Keiji Mutou and Nama Niku ATK).

well, looks like Deedlit learned some...interesting body enhancing techniques. What I would really like is a new Lodoss series.

Whoever gets the blu-ray should definitely pick up this sexy artbook too. I can see it being worth a nice premium. I would be very disappointed if the future licensee didn't include the artbook. |
