I find it incredibly funny that 3 of 4 pictures are of girls in lolita... but, in general, girls who wear it don't like for it to be called cosplay. In fact, 'cosplay lolita' is often used as a derogatory term for outfits that don't match up to the high standards a lot of lolita enthusiasts seem to have

There are people in the article comments complaining about that very topic. Lolita fashion is still a costume as far as I'm concerned so "costume play" is still appropriate.
