She is as badly proportioned as Barbie. How to make Barbie even creepier, we have found out, add pulleys and smartphones.

Does this mean we're one step closer to making Angelic Layer a reality?

SO...it's a BJD with motors. Weird. Especially when you see one of the other videos where they are showing the movements and they have the doll in a skimpy bikini and endearingly calling it cute.
Man sounds kinda creepy like he's taking to his future sex-bot or something. :/

These things trade for the thousands of dollars. People who are into this are going to be REALLY in to this.

The fusion of moe and bunraku! That pulley system really looks like some high-end bunraku puppet I remember seeing.

I have a Dollfie Dream Aoi and would love to buy one of these (to be honest, I'd love to be able to get my hands on the limited edition Dollfie Dreams that Volks puts out in Japan too! Their brick and mortar US store closed and their US website seems to have been scaled back a bit).
BJDs (and Dollfie Dreams in particular) aren't creepy at all. If you're not into them, that's cool. But if you like them, they're absolutely wonderful. And, yes, quite expensive. Over US$460+ for the basic pre-painted and assembled models through the Volks US website, so something aftermarket like this has internal gears for movement will naturally be much more expensive, especially if they are small-batch/hand crafted like these are.

People say it's a creepy pervert doll but if you read into all the tech going into it with the mechanical skeleton with servo joints and movement sensors, the doll is more like a real Gundam then oktaku fap toy. I believe this will completely change the face of what dolls can be.

You're implying that a "real Gundam" wouldn't be created just to be an otaku fap toy, first and foremost.
