This is a excellent anime in his time, but the toei animation cancelled him in the chapter 35, only 4 volumes of the manga... anyone knows the reason?

It is said that Ganbare Genki's audience rating was not high in comparison with those of competing programmes such as Reikan Yamakan Dairokkan, The Rose of Versailles, and Astro Boy.

I've heard about Ganbare Genki before and always about it's cancellation but i never gonna watch it after it's plot episode preview. Actually i didn't find it so interesting.

I see, thanks.
The good things in Genki, begins about chapter 4, in this chapter the series changes.
And for the year of Genki, Ashita no Joe-2 are in the tv, there are another reason for GG cancellation in anime perphaps.
Its a Pitty, very good anime, and manga.
